September Chef Series

September 3rd: Kricket x Anglo Thai

Kicking off the series on 3rd September is John Chantarasak, the twice shortlisted Chef of the Year at the Young British Foodie awards. Since leaving SomSaa, John has been showcasing his acclaimed Thai cooking, which uses the best of British ingredients, at The Dairy in Clapham. This isn’t the first time John and Will have joined forces – a sell out collaboration earlier this year at AngloThai & Friends at The Dairy means fans now have one more chance to experience the vibrant marrying of Indian and Thai flavours this autumn.

September 10th: Kricket x Pierre Koffmann

The following week, Kricket will welcome French-born Pierre Koffmann, the highly revered
chef whose career has seen him grace the kitchens of some of the UK’s most significant restaurants, including La Gavroche and Waterside Inn in Bray. Six years after opening his own restaurant, Le Tante Claire in Chelsea, it was awarded the maximum three Michelin stars. Following his retirement in 2003, he has received numerous accolades for his revolutionary cooking style, including Observer Food Monthly’s Lifetime Achievement Award. A good friend of Will (Pierre wrote the forward for the Kricket cookbook), he will merge his classic and timeless cooking style with Indian flavours, with details of the pair’s menu to follow.

September 17th: Kricket x Flank

On 17th September, Tom Griffiths will bring the same no-nonsense, nose to tail style cooking Flank has become famed for to Kricket Television Centre. Since opening his first restaurant in 2015, Tom’s approach to whole animal cooking has always been at the heart of the Flank brand and his collaboration with Kricket will be no different, with a menu filled with meat focused dishes using the fragrant flavours of India.

September 24th: Kricket x Perilla

With a CV boasting culinary institutions including Claridges, NOMA and The Square, it was unsurprising that when Ben Marks opened his debut restaurant Perilla in 2016 it would receive critical acclaim. For one night only, Ben and Will will marry Perilla’s classic European flavours with Kricket’s Indian inspired tasting notes – with both chefs staying true to their love of using ingredients of the highest quality.

October 1st: Kricket x Valentine Warner

Television chef, food writer and broadcaster, Valentine Warner will join Will Bowlby at Kricket Television Centre on 1st October. Originally trained as a portrait painter, Valentine’s love of cooking, nature and travel inspired him to become a chef, and his charismatic personality meant he quickly found himself on television. Valentine describes his cooking style as ‘International Grandmother’ – with an interest in provincial food. His deep understanding of ingredients, and the ability to create complex flavours from mimimal ingredients will mean guests are in for a treat – with details of the dishes to follow.
