Beer & Curry Night: Vol. 9 w/ Harbour

Dreaming of Tamil Nadu

The southernmost state of India, Tamil Nadu, has been on our ‘must re-visit’ list for quite some time, and this summer, our Co-Founder and Chef Patron Will Bowlby will be spending a few weeks travelling from Madurai to Chennai, exploring coastal cities and villages, and tasting regional delicacies from morning to night.

 Ahead of this next trip, the team have been remembering recipes from home and their travels to create a Tamil Nadu-inspired Thali for April’s Beer & Curry Night at Brixton.

Blessed with over a thousand kilometres of coastline along the Bay of Bengal filled with sandy beaches, lagoons and estuaries, and the biodiverse Western Ghats, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Tamil Nadu is primed to have an extraordinary culinary landscape. Featuring an abundance of seafood, the dishes of the region have spicy, sour and savoury notes, harmoniously combined with fragrant herbs and creamy coconut.

Our menu features regional dishes such as Chettinad Chicken, Dindagul Mutton Biryani and Sweetcorn Sundal, which will pair harmoniously with the Cornish Harbour beers that we have selected for the evening.

This menu will be available exclusively at Brixton on Tuesday 22nd April.

Tickets are £40 per guest and include snacks, your thali, dessert and three Harbour beers.
